This work is inspired by a true story that reflects the suffering caused by human deception and how one can reach a state of blindness, both emotional and perceptual. It explores the sensation of drowning in red wine-like illusions, and the absence of clear vision, as if seeing through the wing of a mosquito everything distorted, unclear, and unreachable. Sometimes, people surrender to this confusion for many different reasons. But the question remains: Can someone truly awaken in less than 48 hours? In this art piece, the face of a woman is partially concealed by a large, vibrantly colored moth. The insect serves as both mask and blindness symbol . The red backdrop enhances the concept of red wine effect the surreal tone, while soft gradients of pink and white add emotional vulnerability. An Egyptian visual artist based in Istanbul, Turkey. Graduated from Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University, in 2010. Deeply passionate about expressive surrealism and visual storytelling. I create emotionally charged paintings that reflect my personal experiences, dual-cultural identity, and philosophical observations of the world .
