Biography

I was born in 1976 in Bursa, Turkey. Between 1990 and 1994, I attended Bursa Fine Arts High School, where I was admitted with distinction, and from 1994 to 1998, I studied in the Painting Department of Uludag University Faculty of Fine Arts. My mother and father, both graduates of the Institute of Art Education, worked as painting teachers for many years. From an early age— especially in my father's art studio-I grew up immersed in the world of art. This environment taught me that art is not merely a profession, but a way of life. Art runs in our family. My sister, Bicem Sinik, graduated from the Department of Graphic Arts and, after achieving international recognition as a tattoo artist in Istanbul, continues her artistic journey in New York. I was working as a painting teacher for many years, I fulfilled my dream in 2014 by establishing my own studio. This space is not only my personal creative environment but also a place where young artists can explore alternative techniques, develop their own forms of expression, and freely realize their creative potential. Artistic Approach & Technique For me, the canvas is not just a surface; it is a space where colors, textures, and movement meet without boundaries. My process begins by guiding the paint and then letting it flow freely; layers, spontaneous interventions, and controlled coincidences find their own rhythm. Vivid color transitions and strong contrasts in my works draw the viewer into an atmosphere that is both energetic and profound. Forms carry no sharp boundaries-because, much like life itself, I believe not everything can be defined by rigid lines. The sense of movement and flow in my paintings is not only a visual element but also an emotional experience that resonates with the viewer. Each work captures the feeling of the moment and carries an energy that will never be repeated. For me, art is less about a predetermined result and more about the connection established through the process. This connection allows both the viewer and myself to give the work the freedom to speak its own language. Originality, emotion, and intuition are at the heart of my artistic production; each brushstroke reflects my inner world and the spirit of the moment. The power of nature is always present in the colors I choose and the compositions I create.
